I love an easy DIY, don’t you? Today I’m sharing one of the easiest DIY’s I’ve done in a long time. I like to keep my dining table decorated year round and I change it out with each season. After Christmas I jump right back to my Spring decor. I had set out my dining table decor, but I was missing one thing, napkins. I love adding a napkin layer to my dish setting, but I needed some new ones. I looked around at a couple stores, but had no luck finding any that I liked. Then, I had an idea. I went to the fabric department at Hobby Lobby and bought a small amount of fabric, I actually found some in the clearance section and only paid a few bucks! After doing my easy DIY I now have a fresh tablescape. Keep reading to see how easy it was!
WHAT YOU NEED:
*Fabric; Approx 48″ wide to make 4 napkins
*Measure 12″ and cut from top to bottom
*Fold napkin into thirds. Fold both sides inward and then fold length wise in half.
Gather your fabric and your scissors.
Measure out 12″ and cut from top to bottom. Repeat this step 4 times.
Fold your fabric into thirds. Fold both sides inwards and then fold again in half vertically.
Place your napkins in between two plates to complete your setting.
What I love about this project is you get to pick out your own unique print and pattern. Hobby lobby had so many choices, but I went with a classic white fabric that had a little bit of a cover stitch detail. I actually like seeing some of the loose threads, it adds character.
