DIY: Mason Jar Storage Labels

Here is to organization! I love keeping an organized home, but I will admit, sometimes it is hard. I am a working mom and wife and life get’s busy. A couple years ago when I organized my pantry I used mason jars to store everyday goods like chocolate chips, baking soda, beans etc. I loved the look of the mason jar storage, but I needed to come up with a label. After doing a little brainstorming I came up with the cutest labels to put on top of the lids. Today I’m sharing with you the how to and providing a free printable to get you started.

WHAT YOU NEED:

*Scrapbook Paper (I used a brown kraft color)

*Mason Jars

*Circle punch 2″

*Glue (I use a glue roller)

*Printer

*Scissors

*FREE PDF PRINTABLE HERE: mason jar 2

HOW TO: USING PRE MADE LABELS

*Cut your scrapbook paper to fit into your printer (8.5″x 11″)

*Print your labels onto your scrapbook paper

*Cut around each label so that you can fit each circle into your cutter

*Looking from the bottom align your paper circle into the circle cutter and cut out your label.

*Add glue to the back of your label.

*Place your label, glue side down on top of the mason jar lid.

*Place lid on top of the mason jar.

HOW TO: MAKING YOUR LABELS IN WORD

*Cut your scrapbook paper to fit into your printer (8.5″x 11″)

*Open up Word. Insert shape, choose a circle. You will want to make your circle 2″ tall and 2″ wide.

*Insert your text. Find a food or kitchen font to add a kitchen related icon. I got my font from Dafont.com

Here is a glance of the suppliers you will need. Not pictured are scissors. Because the circle cutter has a restricted reach. You will need to cut around your labels so you can fit them into your cutter.

When you are ready to cut our your labels, flip the cutter over so you can see thru the bottom. This will help you align the two circles.

Adhere glue to the bottom of your label.

Place the label to the top of the mason jar lid.

Now you have the cutest Mason Jar storage for your kitchen!
